Transfer Songs from Your iPod to Any Mac with Senuti [Featured Mac Download]
15 11 2007
“Mac
OS X only: Copy songs from your iPod directly to your iTunes library
with free, open source application Senuti. We’ve mentioned Senuti in the past,
but this app keeps getting better. Aside from the fact that Senuti has
updated to work with Leopard, it also has a greatly improved interface
since we last featured it. But what’s most useful is the new blue dot,
which indicates whether or not the song is already in your iTunes
library, making Senuti perfect for “borrowing” a song or two from a
friend’s iPod without introducing duplicates to your iTunes library.
Senuti is freeware, Mac OS X only. Windows users, check out previously mentioned YamiPod.”
I purchased Senuti 0.50.1 and it took me from the problem I had at first with the previouis version of crash reports everytime I started the transfer to now a series of itunes creating a dialog. Is there a verison of Senuti that can successfully transfer the songs from the ipod to Itunes on a Mac computer running Leopard OS X 10.5 and better without these issues? Please get back to me when there’s one, however, in the meantime I will continue to search for others.
If you hadn’t purchased it, I would say try Yamipod which is mentioned in the post above (there’s a Mac version).
Since you DID purchase it, I would recommend getting support from the Senuti developers since they owe that to you.
Remember these types of programs usually break every time you upgrade iTunes, so don’t upgrade iTunes until Senuti or Yamipod updates their software to match your version of iTunes.
